Hello! My name is Patti Ayers, and I am an Interior Designer specializing in fine custom window treatments and soft furnishings. With a keen eye for design and decades of sewing experience, I launched Pillows & Pleats, LLC, to marry my love of sewing with my degree in Interior Design.

I live in Loudoun County, Virginia with my best friend and husband of 37 years, our four amazing kids, a beautiful Boykin Spaniel, and kitty named Gracie Lu. I have logged hundreds of hours volunteering in the school system and costuming for a Best of Loudoun community theater company. Aside from sewing, I enjoy traveling, baking, reading, gardening, and most importantly, spending quality time with my family!

I have grown Pillows & Pleats organically with referrals from satisfied clients and serve Northern Virginia and beyond! My ideal client loves where they live and is eager to take their home or office to the next level. Let me help you achieve this goal!

Recipient of the WCAA 2019 Jill Robson Memorial Scholarship

Jill Robson was an advocate for education in the workroom industry. Like Jill, continuing education is very important to me. I enjoy collaborating and sharing with other designers and workroom professionals from around the world! I frequently attend classes throughout the United States to hone my skills, and to stay abreast of current design trends, safety standards, and fabrication techniques. I am a member of the Window Coverings Association of America (WCAA), a non-profit trade organization which provides numerous networking and educational opportunities, while supporting best business practices and a code of ethics for the window coverings industry. I am currently a member of the Virtual Chapter and Northern Virginia Chapters of the WCAA, and held the positions of Secretary in 2019, and President for 2020 and 2021, 2022, respectively.
